Biggar RFC is delighted to announce that the Senior Men's coach for the season ahead is Craig Borthwick. Craig, better known as 'Borth' has been with the club for 4 seasons. Initially Borth came as a player and he added some much needed direction to the pack, utilising the experience he had gained playing for Peebles, Gala and Watsons while he also gained a Scotland Cap at Rugby League.. He gradually took up the role of player coach working alongside head coach Davey Wilson and Doug Fleming.
He has the respect of the dressing room and has already had an initial meeting with the players when he outlined some of his hopes for the season ahead. He is now in the process of recruiting a backs coach while player recruitment is another major task. With the new gym extension bringing a whole new dimension to the playing side (at all levels and age groups), there is also the new clubhouse extension and of course the prospect of the club celebrating its 50the anniversary! A busy and incredibly exciting time for everyone involved at Hartree Mill.
