Biggar RFC Strengthen Senior Coaching Structure with Appointment of Andy Henderson as Senior Men’s Lead Player Development Coach
Biggar RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Henderson as Senior Men’s Lead Player Development Coach, a role designed to provide clear leadership across the club’s senior men’s performance programme.
While the title reflects a strong emphasis on player progression, the position has been intentionally structured to carry the responsibilities typically associated with a Head Coach. Andy will lead the overall coaching direction, playing style and performance standards of the senior men’s squad, working in close alignment with the wider rugby management team.
Andy joins Biggar with an outstanding coaching pedigree across both school and representative rugby. He has served as Head of Rugby at Strathallan School, where he was responsible for developing high-performing programmes and nurturing players progressing through to senior and representative levels.
At representative level, Andy has operated as Assistant Coach with the Scotland Club XV, contributing to national-level player development and performance environments. He has also held the role of Head Coach for the Caledonia Inter-District senior men’s side, leading regional representative players and delivering competitive performances at inter-district level.
