It was announced today that Donna who began her playing career here at Biggar has been inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame. This is a wonderful achievement and so well deserved.
It is some 30+ years ago since Biggar Ladies first took to the rugby stage and they were quick to show that they were just as enthusiastic as the Men's team.
Donna was quick to get involved and the stage was there for her to strut her stuff, which she did incredibly well. She played in the first capped Scotland International against Ireland - her Biggar team-mate Una Lavery was in the Irish squad - and then her career really took off with, in the end, a total of 115 Scotland caps in a 17 year international career.
Here is Donna pictured (4th from left back row) in Biggar's squad on a match in (I think) Perth? I'm sure you will recognise many others who are still involved at the Club.
