Biggar Ladies managed a deserved but narrow win over visitors Greenock Wanderers on Sunday and therefore were able to properly celebrate their West Region Championship win.
In reality they won the title last week after Wigtonshire cancelled their re-arranged fixture and so Sunday was the first opportunity to celebrate - and all the better for being able to do so at home, after a win and in front of the home crowd!
The Ladies still have two fixtures remaining (against Oban Lorne on 1st December and away to Ayr on 8th December) but they are unbeaten and cannot be caught. The nearest challengers are West some 15 points adrift.
