Weekend results and Senior Player Awards Night

Biggar 2nds v GHA (A) 41-17 defeat

On Saturday afternoon for the Scotland/England 6 Nations match, 8 Ladies team players were at The Hive as guests of Guinness. Biggar man Chris Cruise who works with the SRU providing sound and music prior to many SRU and Glasgow Warriors events entered the club in the competition and Biggar were drawn out the hat as winners!

The Girls were on the pitch prior to the match carrying and then unfurling a large Guinness flag as the teams entered the pitch. Aside from the excitiement of being thus involved they were then pitchside to watch the game and to also meet former Biggar player Donna Kennedy.

In the end the result was not the one Scotland had hoped for, but in previous years the side would have been swept away by what is a particularly strong and very experienced England squad.
