The new structuring of Youth girls rugby launched at Clydebank last month with the first of a series of festivals for U14, U16 and U18 age groups. Last weekend was our turn to host and we had over 150 girls playing rugby at Hartree Mill on Sunday Morning.
Despite the wet and windy conditions the festival was enjoyed by all and there was some fantastic youth rugby on show. As always at Hartree all of the girls were well catered for by our volunteers who always ensure the players, coaches and referees are well looked after.
Glasgow North Regional Manager Ailidh Hood seen the festival as a huge success and appreciated the help given by locals and volunteers.
Well done to all of the Biggar squads who competed with many of the girls playing in a competitive match for the first time. We are extremely proud of our strong Girls section at Hartree Mill and want to continue to see it grow with more Girls eager to give rugby a try.
